darthvaderplasticmask asked: ok. easy one.. five favorite horrorflicks. and why.

I hate listing my favourites because I always end up wanting to change what I just listed, but here goes: 28 Days Later (soundtrack was pure brilliance, for a horror film it was really minimalistic which was refreshing and also the themes/metaphors were more serious and topical), The Shining (duh, everything), The Birds (was six when I watched it for the first time and I’m still at the age of 23 anxious around birds), Vargtimmen (I love Bergman, he managed to thoroughly picture the inner demons that are able to drive one completely insane while at the same time keeping the mystery) and Psycho (suspense from start to finish).
